Bake your pie, bring it to the Village, and challenge other amateur bakers to win the title of best pumpkin pie!

Twelve pies will be selected to participate in the final on October 18th.

Meticulous and slow work, born of great passion, can transform a pumpkin into works that leave you speechless. There's one over a hundred years old, one that required dozens of hours of attention, but all have the gift of creating atmospheres with evocative plays of light in the darkness of the evening.

What truly lies behind Halloween night? This evening, we will embark on a journey through time, discovering the origins of this celebration, delving into its history, curiosities, symbols, and ancient legends.

We will start with Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that marked the transition from the light to the dark season, leading to the birth of Halloween and the traditions that still characterize it today.

We will talk about pumpkins, the mysterious Jack O'Lantern, the colors black and orange, and the origin of the famous "trick or treat." Patrizia from 'Le guide di Patty' will guide us through the stories and beliefs hidden behind one of the most fascinating nights of the year, in an evening suspended between history and legend.

Following the traditions of the Celtic Wheel of the Year, guided by shaman Karin Hochapfel, we will share the ritual of Samhain, the threshold between one cycle and the next. Around the fire, we will consciously experience this moment of transition through three symbolic gestures.

We will experience the time of harvest, of remembering ancestors, and of letting go of what no longer serves us, to make space for what we wish to bring forth. An experience to reconnect with our cyclical nature and open up a space of freedom, rediscovering passion, vision, and the meaning of life.

Following Celtic tradition, we will walk through the woods to gather the fruits that nature bestows upon us this season. A ritual as simple as it is profound, which takes on greater meaning when shared.

11.30 Giant pumpkin seed distribution

A giant pumpkin can only be a symbol of abundance and sharing. And so it will be at the Village. On the last morning of the event, we will open the large pumpkin that has kept us company for five weeks.

It will be our pleasure to give you its seeds, with an invitation to carefully preserve them and plant them next spring. Who among you will be able to grow the most magnificent new giant pumpkin? For those who want some advice, a short course led by FutureFarmer is scheduled for the afternoon.

A four-week race will lead us to crown the most beautiful and the most original pumpkin among those presented at the Village on Sunday, October 4th (2:00 PM-4:00 PM). Who will win?

The winners will receive their prize and be crowned during our closing party. At that time, we will also announce who guessed the weight - or came closest - of our giant pumpkin.
